Bodelwyddan Castle, Denbighshire, North Wales, provides a splendid setting for a significant group of portraits from the Gallery 's nineteenth-century collection.

On display are works by George Frederic Watts, John Singer Sargent and Ford Madox Brown. The first floor rooms have recently been refurbished and offer interactive displays exploring the theme of making portraits as well as offering a showcase for touring exhibitions both from the National Portrait Gallery and from other organisations such as the National Library of Wales.
